In AUS women's hockey action from Sackville, NB, the Tommies defeated the Mt. Allison Mounties 2 - 0. STU will be playing against these very same Mounties next week, as these two teams finished fourth and fifth in the AUS standings and will face each other in a quarter final best of three.
In this afternoon's game, Emily Francis scored her 6th and 7th goals of the season in the first and third periods providing all the offense the Tommies would need. Kristin Wolfe and Christmas addition Laura Bray shared the goaltending duties to earn the shutout.
The playoff schedule has not been released yet but the Tommies will begin their march through the AUS playoffs beginning next week at the Grant-Harvey Centre.
