Lady Tommies Fall to X-Women in OT

Tommies Hardest Working player, goaltender Kristin Wolfe
In a hard fought battle at the Grant-Harvey Centre the Lady Tommies put on a great show for their fans tonight against the nationally fourth ranked St. FX X-Women. Kristin Wolfe stood on her head to stop 32 of 34 shots and was a shoe in for the "Hardest Working Tommie" of the game.

The Tommies opened the scoring early in the first period at the 6:39 mark, when Stephanie Gates (Jenna Scott) put one past X-Women goal-keeper Pascale Daigle. Both Teams were even in shots on goal at nine a piece through one.

X scored a little over halfway through the second period and kept pouring on offensive pressure after that, they lead the shots on goal 15-8.

The third period was shutout at both ends as Wolfe and Daigle were able to keep the puck out of their respective nets. The X-Women still came out on top on the shots on goal department though leading the Tommies 9-5.

Overtime was short and not sweet though as Alexa Normore of St. FX came across the blue line on a mission, scoring on Wolfe and ending the game

Both teams were scoreless on the powerplay, and the final shots on goal were 34-22 in favour of X.

The Lady Tommies faceoff against the Dalhousie Tigers at 2pm at the Grant-Harvey Centre, come on out and cheer on your Tommies.
