A strong first period didn't hold up for STU, as the St-FX X-Men defeated the Tommies 3 to 0. Jon Groenheyde was solid again for STU facing 28 shots in the loss.
The first period was scoreless, X scored one in the second period, and two in the final period for the win. STU did have a few opportunities around the X-Men's net but were not able to convert.
Final shots on goal were 28 to 10 for the X-Men. The Tommies return home next weekend and will take on Dalhousie on Friday night and Acadia on Saturday.
