Former Tommie doing well: The Daily Gleaner catches up with Eric Bissonnette and his new business venture.
"They asked me if I was interested in coming to school here, and I just said "Yes!" said Bissonnette. "I could barely speak English." He said he had to get a map to find out where it was.FULL GLEANER STORY
"I didn't expect to be here after my first year," said Bissonnette, chuckling. "I was a bit of a lost soul. I played major junior and I was never an academic at all. I really thought I was just going to come for a year and play hockey and see what it was all about."
The rest, as he says, "is history."
He spent five years on campus, earned his Bachelor of Education degree, and found himself in the process.
"I fell in love with the school and the city...it was really good for me. It gave me a direction in life," he said.

The university's board of governors has agreed to pursue a campus based out of St. Michael's Basilica convent in the former town of Chatham.

just looking at Bowers's team roster, playing with Kenton Dulle's brother and Nathan O'Nabigon from UNB. From the names i recognize, not a bad squad.

L'ERIC,the BIZZ; now there is an addition that we sure could use on "D",he always arrived at the scene of the crime with "bad intentions",his personal story should be encouragement to all who wonders what life can be after exposing oneself to what STU has to offer.
ReplyDeleteI had the good fortune to get to know Eric a bit when driving with him to his STU coaching assignments when he had to depart late because of his High School job,I got the opportunity to hear his family stories and about visits from his "french speaking only father" and recognized in Eric some very stronly held values which I know are operating within his own family presently.There isn't a better success story of a Tommie's graduate.
