The Tommies started off slow, pinned in their own zone several times
forcing several defensive zone faceoffs. STU found its jump near the
halfway point and were rewarded with a goal by Tyler Dietrich after
some good work by Kenton Dulle and Mike Reich. Shots on goal were 14-8
in favour of Moncton, though the Tommies were down 7-1 in that
category after 10 minutes.
