The St. Thomas' men's hockey team kick off the 2011-2012 season at home versus the UPEI Panthers on Wednesday September 21st at 7 PM. This will be Troy Ryan's first game behind the STU bench. In total the Tommies will play 6 pre-season exhibition games and 2 after Christmas before the second half begins.

Just wanted to send out a big Green and Gold congratulations to three former stutommies.com contributors.
First, Fraser MacAlpine on being named an assistant coach at RMC. On top of contributing to the site he also looked after video of men's and women's hockey games at STU for the past 6 years.
Second, Mike Sanderson on landing a great gig as a reporter on the QMJHL at OpenIceHockey.com. Of course it has been Mike that has looked after the music during men's and women's hockey games at the LBR for the past 4 years.
Third, Jason Cassidy on being accepted at Ryerson University for the Master of Professional Communication (MPC) program and playing for their hockey team in his fifth and final CIS season. Enjoy it Jason, it will go by so quickly. September 1st UPDATE: For Cassidy, all Signs point to Toronto

ReplyDeletethanks STUTommies. Were just getting going at RMC, should be a good season for the Paladins. Hopefully we will be down next season for a pair of games with the Tommies. Looking forward to reading Sanderson's columns and seeing Cass (who is in my divison) four times this season
