In AUS men's hockey action tonight at the GHC, the Saint Mary's Huskies jumped out to a 4-0 first period lead and never looked back as they went on to defeat the Tommies 6-1. The teams exchanged goals in the 2nd with Colin Martin (Poulin,Bissonnette) scoring the lone Tommies goal. SMU scored the only goal in the 3rd.
Final shots: SMU 31; STU 15. Tommies were 1 for 6 on the PP.
Tonight's game marked the final game of the season for the Tommies and for graduating players Jon Bonneau, Yuri Cheremetiev, Sebastien Bernier & Randy Cameron who were recognized in a pre-game ceremony.
The Tommies finished the season with a 6-20-2 record, 14 points and 7th place in the AUS conference.
