Men's Tommies Fall to UdeM in Final Pre-Season Game - Take Shoot Out

In the final pre-season tune-up game, the Tommies fell to UdeM in Grand Falls, NB, 6-2. The Tommies had a quick goal scored on them in the first minute of the game but played even for the rest of the period.

The Tommies answered back with two goals in the second, the first goal scored by Stephen Sanza at 1:37 from Brendan Childerley and Marc-Andre' Levesque on the power-play. The second goal was scored by Brendan Childerley (his first as a Tommie) at 3:34, assisted by Randy Cameron and Stephen Sanza. However the flood gates opened for UdeM as they scored three quick goals shortly after and took a 4 to 2 lead into the third period.

The third period, Moncton tacked on two more goals to give them a final score of 6-2, the shots on goal were 34-31 for STU, Alexandre' St-Arnaud took the loss in net.

Tonight's game had an added feature of a shoot out, in which the Tommies sent Robert Zandbeek, Jonathan Bonneau, and Marc-Andre' Levesque to centre ice, both Bonneau and Levesque scored while Alex St-Arnaud stopped two of three shooters.

The Tommies start their regular season next Friday night against Acadia in Wolfville.
