The Lady Tommies ran their pre-season record to 3 - 1 this afternoon defeating RSEQ opponent the Concordia Stingers in Lethbridge Alberta. Makayla Campbell made her debut with the Tommies in net less than 24 hours after their game vs. Ryerson last night and Captain Katie Brewster lead the way with a three point performance.
Myfanwy Thomson (Brewster) opened the scoring for STU in the first period. Kelty Apperson (Brewster) got her second goal of the tournament to increase the lead to two before Concordia scored with under 8 to play in the second period. Katie Brewster (McTaggart) would regain the two goal for the Tommies before the end of the middle frame.
Campbell and the STU defense would shut the door in the third period, as the Tommies remain undefeated in Alberta.
STU's big test will come tomorrow afternoon against the host Lethbridge Pronghorns. Best of luck Ladies. Don't forget, @STUTommies will be live tweeting from Lethbridge, get all your Tommies hockey news right here.
