Moncton scrapes past Tommies

In a tight game this afternoon in Moncton, the Tommies were defeated by Les Aigles Bleues 2 to 1.  This is the Tommies third straight loss after Christmas break and one could say that STU is officially reeling.

Moncton jumped out to a 2 to 0 lead after the first period as they scored at 2:28 on the PP and at 12:31. Kristin Wolfe was sharp the rest of the way and wouldn't allow another goal in the game.  Shots favoured Moncton in the first period 8 to 6.

STU came out better in the second period and Jordan Miller scored at 14:15 to cut the deficit in half but try as they might, the Tommies could not solve Emilie Bouchard in the Moncton net.  She was the difference, as she held her team solid, especially when the Tommies pressed hard late in the third period.  Final shots on goal were 21 to 20 for STU.

The Tommies were without Erin McIsaac and Emily Ryan in the line-up.
