Every team is going to have an off game and the Lady Tommies had a doozy today. After leading early, St. Thomas dropped a 7 - 2 decision to the UPEI Panthers.
With Kristin Wolfe getting her first start in the Tommies net this season, the whole team was hoping to give her some support. It all started well enough, as goals by Courtney Fox (D. Miller, E. MacIsaac) and Jordan Miller (C. McTaggart, A. Burns) with a UPEI goal sandwiched in-between, saw STU take a one goal lead into the first intermission.
From there it went downhill in a hurry with UPEI scoring three goals in the second and three more in the third to easily dismantle the Tommies. Ferran Brown of the Panthers had a five point performance in the win.
The Tommies have less than a week to right the ship, as they stay at home to take on Saint Mary's on Saturday & St-FX on Sunday.
