The Tommies men will be back on the local airwaves and internet this season with
95.7 CKTP "The Wolf" broadcasting the St. Thomas games.
The live game broadcasts will continue with the new carrier after two seasons on Positive Hits-Joy FM. No word as of yet on the return of Randy Corey as play-by-play announcer.
CKTP will carry all 28 regular season games as well as the Tommies playoff action. The first broadcast will be October 17th at Moncton when STU takes on UdeM.
Update: The Gleaner has more, including the news that Randy Corey has a "verbal agreement" with CKTP to continue as the "Voice of the Tommies".
GREAT NEWS!! I'll be adding 95.7 to the radio buttons. Glad that Randy is back, he does a great job.
ReplyDeleteKudos to the powers to be at STU and CTKP radio on being able to get STU back on the radio.Being able to retain Randy Corey as play by play man was important as well.To Mike Eagles and those involvedI give the Don Cherry thumbs up.
ReplyDeleteThis is CKTP gain and Joy FM loss.
