When UNB lost nationals last year there was not one single word on why they lost outside of Alberta had a better night and a hot goalie. STU can improve, but needs new leadership.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7302703006532889416.post-28222475811682442252009-01-27T11:16:00.000-04:002009-01-27T11:16:00.000-04:00UNB will not get beat by STU along the way in the ...UNB will not get beat by STU along the way in the Playoffs but it could be somebody. STU is going through a hard time and UNB is prosperous. But remember, STU has all freshmen and somphmores and in a few years, it will be a different story.

All we are saying is that UNB complains about games when they win. Yes STU...This back and forth is getting ridiculous. Yes STU is having a rough year, yes UNB is a dominant force. There are reasons for both of these situations, but most of it is attributable to recruiting, the success of which has a lot to do with course offerings and money. You'll blame everyone else for the losses this year except for the people that you should be blaming... that being the players and coaching staff. I see more Squirrels complaining about referees on HFBoards than I do here. Sob, sob, we didn't get our 11th goal because of the referee. Sure, UNB are winners, but sore ones. Heck, Macdougall WINS, but only by a goal and in a shootout no less and he's too sore to stick around to face the newspaper.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7302703006532889416.post-52224911685988854482009-01-24T17:15:00.000-04:002009-01-24T17:15:00.000-04:00Thanks for posting the play by play. The 10-0 and 8-0 losses etc must have been obvious referees were being bought out.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7302703006532889416.post-40331987635179691492009-01-24T12:26:00.000-04:002009-01-24T12:26:00.000-04:00PS - SMU's fourth goal was kicked in. There's a reason I played the Chicken Dance in the OT.

Without MacFarlane in the net SMU would have won anyway. You don't outshoot a team 55-15 in three periods without winning. SMU was the better team for the majority. However, finally the breaks go our way, and then it's taken away.

Where do you think the confidence of the boys is now?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7302703006532889416.post-76662934826144514952009-01-24T01:15:00.000-04:002009-01-24T01:15:00.000-04:00that was an unbelieve attrosity in reffering tonit...that was an unbelieve attrosity in reffering tonite. SMU should be arrested for "stealing" the game for sure. The boys deserved to win this game. They really worked their tails off and even tho we end up on the losing side of things, we can take away some positives. But with the referee, it was reminding me of that game between the US and Canada womens from 2002 olympics. The one penalty that really go me and i wanted to yell but i cant since i am behind a camera was the ghost holding the stick on Banny when he was getting hooked. Looking forward to reading the Gleaner article tomorrow about it

~Tommies Video Guy~Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
